Artist Bio

Ryan Werner (b. Bay Area, California) is a contemporary artist based in Los Angeles whose work explores color, emotion, and the space between figurative and surreal. Trained in Fine Art at the University of Redlands, Ryan developed a style rooted in bold color, distorted figures, and playful abstraction.

Influenced by Picasso, Francis Bacon, and Kandinsky, Ryan uses painting as a way to transform emotion into color, energy, and form. His work is driven by experimentation, curiosity, and creating worlds that feel outside normal reality.

Ryan first exhibited his work during his senior year at the University of Redlands, presenting four years of studio work. His painting has continued to evolve through exhibitions across Los Angeles, including his most recent solo show, Jungle Frequency, which brought together more than 30 original works in an immersive environment of art, music, and color.

Today, Ryan continues to push the boundaries of his work, guided by the belief that art shouldn’t simply recreate the world we know, but reveal one we haven’t seen yet.
